Do you take insurance?
We do not accept insurance because most plans don’t cover the kind of proactive, personalized hormone care we provide. Traditional insurance is built around quick, reactive, one-size-fits-all treatments – not comprehensive hormone optimization that prevents issues before they start. However, you may be able to use your FSA, HSA, or HRA for reimbursement. Need more details? Call Member Support at (833) 625-3392 Monday – Sunday, 8 AM – 8 PM EST.
Can I take my Fem Excel treatment plan to my Primary Care Provider (PCP)?
You’re welcome to share your plan, but most PCPs aren’t trained in hormone optimization or the use of bioidentical hormones, which means they may not feel comfortable continuing or managing your treatment. Many rely strictly on lab ranges, prescribe only synthetic hormones, or are limited by insurance restrictions that prevent personalized care. At Fem Excel, our providers are hormone specialists who focus on treating the root cause using protocols designed specifically for women. For the safest and most effective results, we recommend continuing your care within the Fem Excel program.
How do Fem Excel providers receive their training?
Every Fem Excel provider completes in-house training developed by Dr. Peter Fotinos and Dr. Lorna Brudie. Training focuses on evidence-based bioidentical hormone therapy, symptom-based dosing, thyroid optimization, and ongoing patient monitoring. Each provider also participates in continuing education and peer case reviews to ensure the highest standards of care.
Are Fem Excel providers part of a larger doctor network?
No. Fem Excel providers are part of our own dedicated medical team, not an outsourced or rented doctor network. Every clinician works directly under Fem Excel’s medical leadership and follows The Excel Advantage™ protocol to deliver consistent, evidence-based treatment nationwide.
How do I know if my symptoms are hormone-related or something else?
Many issues like fatigue, weight gain, poor sleep, or mood swings can be caused by hormone imbalance, but the only way to know for sure is with lab testing. That’s why every Fem Excel membership includes a consult with a hormone specialist and an at-home test kit.
How quickly will I notice improvements in my symptoms?
Every woman is different, but many notice more energy, better sleep, or improved mood within weeks. Changes in weight and body composition often take longer – usually several months.
Which symptoms usually improve first with treatment?
Energy, mood, sleep, and libido often improve before weight or physical changes. Treatment is designed to optimize your whole health over time.
Are bioidentical hormones safe?
Yes. Fem Excel only prescribes bioidentical hormones, which are designed to match the hormones your body naturally produces. All treatment plans are closely monitored with regular follow-ups and lab work.
Do I have to be on hormones forever?
Not necessarily. Many women choose to stay on therapy long-term because of the benefits, but your plan is always personalized and can be adjusted over time with your provider.
What’s included in my Fem Excel membership?
Your membership includes unlimited provider access, your initial and follow-up consultations, a test kit every six months, and ongoing support. Medications are billed separately at transparent, affordable rates.
